How does Sharetime access my Screen Time data?

Sharetime uses Apple's official Screen Time APIs to securely access your usage data. We only access information that you explicitly authorize through iOS permissions, ensuring complete transparency and control over your data.

Is my data safe and private?

Absolutely! Your data is stored securely on our Supabase servers with enterprise-grade encryption and security measures. We never share your personal data with third parties and use it exclusively for Sharetime's core functionality. All data transmission is encrypted end-to-end.

Why do you store data on servers instead of keeping it local?

Server storage enables essential features like group sharing, cross-device synchronization, and social accountability features. This allows you to join groups with friends or family and share your progress while maintaining the highest security standards.

How do groups work and what data is shared?

When you join a Sharetime group, you can choose to share specific usage metrics with other group members for accountability and motivation. You have complete control over what information is shared and can leave groups or stop sharing at any time.

What happens if I delete my account?

When you delete your account, all your personal data is permanently removed from our servers. Any shared group data is anonymized, and you will be removed from all groups immediately.

Do you use my data for advertising?

Never. We do not use your Screen Time data for advertising, marketing, or any commercial purposes outside of providing Sharetime's core functionality. Your data is never sold or shared with advertisers or marketing companies.

How accurate is the Screen Time data?

Sharetime presents your Screen Time data as reported by Apple, but there may be slight differences from what you see in iOS Settings. Screen Time does not track usage while your device is on the lock screen or home screen, so actual usage may vary a bit from the totals shown.

Can I use Sharetime on multiple devices?

Yes! Your Sharetime account syncs across all your devices, allowing you to access your data and groups from any iPhone or iPad where you're signed in.
